Bank Verification Number (BVN) was introduced by CBN in an effort to reduce illegal banking transactions in Nigeria. Every Bank account owner was directed to link their account to their BVN or else be denied of performing transactions with the account.

- Dial this USSD code *565*2# from the same phone number you used when enrolling for BVN
- Select your bank from the list of Nigerian banks that appears on the screen and reply with the number displayed alongside.
- Finally, enter your bank account number.
Note that all Nigerian banks are available for this USSD Code BVN linking including FCMB, GTBank, Eco Bank, UBA, FBN, Access Bank, Diamond Bank, Union Bank, and more.
